You can order all your tests in advance of travel and have your test kits ready for use when needed, even if you need to take a lateral flow test while overseas.
If you’re departing from the UK to go overseas, or returning to the UK from abroad, you may need to take a pre-departure fit-to-fly COVID-19 test.
The requirement to take a fit-to-fly test – and the type of test needed – depends upon your destination and any countries that you may transit through.
Here’s what you need to look out for:
If you need to take a pre-departure Fit-to-fly COVID-19 test to return to the UK, you can order this from Agilis Health prior to leaving the UK and take the test with you. This is possible only if you are required to take a lateral flow test as the result is given to you over the video appointment. For PCR tests, you’ll need to find a local test provider in your country of departure.
The US Department of State’s website is the best place to start for information about travelling to the USA. Follow the latest links to the Centre of Disease Control (CDC) to find out what COVID-19 travel restrictions are currently in place.
The Re-open EU website is the best place to start for information about travelling to Europe. You can find high-level information on all COVID-19 travel requirements, as well as links to more detailed information on each country.
If you’re arriving in the UK from overseas, you may need to take a Day 2 lateral flow or PCR test or other COVID-19 test.
Make sure you check the official government guidance from the correct devolved government website for your place of arrival.
