Detailed Italy visa application centre re-opening information

Italy uses a number of commercial partners around the world who operate visa application centres. The largest two commercial partners are TLScontact VFS Global.

Each commercial partner is working with the Italian government to determine where and when it’s safe to resume operations. Visa application centres will therefore open in a phased manner – which will be subject to change if circumstances require – and not all visa application centres within a given country will open all at once.

Italy international travel restrictions

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) publishes updates to COVID-19 travel restrictions by the hour. You should check this information before making travel plans and we’d strongly recommend you also check both your own government’s travel information. Italy does have travel restrictions in place for non-Italian citizen and non-resident permit holders but is starting to re-open its borders. Be sure to check what controls and restrictions are in place before to apply for a visa or book travel.
