The visa application process can be complicated for both first-time applicants and seasoned travellers, especially as application processes and visa rules change frequently.

Sometimes you even have several different types of visa you qualify for and knowing which route to choose is essential to make sure you don’t exclude yourself from being able to renew that visa in the future.

Over the last few months we’ve listened to feedback from hundreds of people who’ve wrote to us asking for more information on how to begin their visa application. So to get your visa application off to the right start, we’ve recently launched two new resources.

Your Ultimate 5-step Guide to Applying for a Visa

Based on our experience of working in the global visas and immigration industry for more than 10 years and having spoken to thousands of visa applications from Cairo to Beijing and Johannesburg to London, we’ve created the free ebook Your Ultimate 5-step Guide to Applying for a Visa.

This Ultimate Guide covers the process you should follow for making any type of visa application, with specific examples provided throughout to show you how to avoid the most common pitfalls people encounter.

The Ultimate Guide covers:

  1. Discover the Basics
  2. Understand the Process
  3. Prepare your Visa Application
  4. Submit your Visa Application
  5. Receive your Decision

Visa Consultations

Working with our immigration advisers we’ve introduced a series of short visa consultations services, the first with Immigration Services Provider (ISP).

The UK visa consultation service is a virtual session with a qualified immigration advisor where they will:

  • Listen to your situation and tell you how to start your UK visa application
  • Tell you what type of visa application you should make based on what you’ve told them so far
  • Answer your questions on the visa application process

If you’re satisfied with the  UK visa consultation service you’ll have the option to appoint your advisor to fully prepare and submit your visa application through a full immigration advice and case preparation service, but there’s no obligation to do so.

You can hear just how valuable this service can be from Sofia on the Help with my visa! Podcast, who used it before applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain. She’d previously prepared all her visa applications herself, but as this was her last ‘big application’ – and she’d just landed her Dream Job in the UK – she didn’t want to leave anything to chance.

Visa consultations can last for up to 1-hour, however most people find they can get answers to all their questions within the first 20 minutes or so. You can now book visa consultations 7-days per week, with a number of our service providers offering visa consultations during the working week and ICS Legal offering appointments on Saturdays and Sundays.

We’re working with our other immigration adviser partners to bring you even more choice in this type of visa consultation and we look forward to announcing more services in the near future.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
